Since 2011, Google has been actively building data centers in Finland and has hired approximately 400 full-time employees at its Hamina campus. As early as 2009, Google established its first data center in Finland. In May of this year, Google further announced an investment of 1 billion euros (approximately 7.649 billion yuan) to expand its data center campus in Finland, in order to drive the growth of its artificial intelligence business in Europe.

According to Google's third quarter financial report, the total advertising revenue for this quarter was $65.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.4%. Among them, search advertising revenue was $49.4 billion, a year-on-year increase of 12.2%, accounting for as much as 75%. Although advertising remains Google's revenue pillar, other business segments have also made significant progress. With the support of AI, Google Cloud's revenue for this quarter reached $11.353 billion, a year-on-year increase of nearly 35%, setting a new historical high.

Under the wave of AI, Google has formulated an AI strategy, with its core elements being the company's strong AI infrastructure, top-notch research team, and globally covered products and platforms. These three elements enable the company to form a virtuous cycle. In the past 18 months, Google has reduced AI query costs by over 90% and doubled the size of the Gemini model. Currently, Google is developing new AI experiences that enable AI to "see" and understand the world around it.

Zhongguancun Online believes that this land purchase plan not only demonstrates Google's emphasis on the Finnish market, but also highlights its determination to continue expanding cloud computing and data center infrastructure globally. With the continuous advancement of technology and the acceleration of global digital transformation, Google is constantly strengthening its data processing and storage capabilities worldwide, providing users with more efficient and intelligent services.
